Terms of Conditions

Welcome to RASCAL — the citywide art scavenger hunt taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 3, 2026. By registering for or participating in RASCAL, you agree to the following terms.

1. Eligibility

Participants under 18 must attend with a registered parent or legal guardian.

Each active player must have a valid RASCAL registration or ticket. Tickets may not be duplicated, resold, or used by more than one participant.

2. Tickets and Transfers

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless RASCAL is canceled by the organizer.

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to another eligible participant before the event begins. You must notify RASCAL of the new participant’s name and contact information before the transfer is complete.

Registration does not guarantee that a participant will find or receive a prize.

3. How the Hunt Works

Participants will receive event instructions, location drops, visual clues, and updates through the communication methods selected during registration.

Prizes are awarded based on the official rules and instructions provided for each drop. A participant must locate the designated prize, follow the stated claim instructions, and meet all eligibility requirements to be confirmed as a winner.

RASCAL may establish a limit on the number of prizes one participant can claim. Decisions concerning winners, eligibility, and rule enforcement are made by the organizer and are final.

Participants may not move, conceal, damage, or interfere with clues, prize boxes, artwork, or event materials.

4. Transportation and Personal Expenses

RASCAL takes place across multiple public and partner locations in Baltimore. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, parking, personal expenses, belongings, and mobile-device access.

Participants should account for travel time between locations. RASCAL does not guarantee parking, transportation, or uninterrupted cellular service.

5. Safety and Participant Responsibility

Participation may involve walking, standing, navigating public spaces, and traveling between locations. Each participant is responsible for determining whether they can participate safely.

Participants must follow traffic laws, posted rules, venue policies, and instructions from RASCAL staff and participating locations.

Running into traffic, reckless driving, trespassing, climbing structures, entering restricted areas, damaging property, or engaging in dangerous behavior is prohibited. No clue or prize will require participants to enter an unsafe, restricted, or unauthorized location.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants accept the ordinary risks associated with moving through public spaces and participating in the event.

6. Code of Conduct

Participants must treat other players, event staff, partner organizations, community members, artwork, and public and private property with respect.

Aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, disruptive, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the event without a refund.

7. Weather, Changes, and Cancellation

RASCAL is currently scheduled to take place rain or shine. Participants should prepare for the weather.

The organizer may delay, modify, relocate, postpone, or cancel part or all of the event when weather, safety concerns, venue availability, government restrictions, or circumstances beyond the organizer’s control make a change necessary.

If the organizer cancels the entire event without rescheduling it, ticket holders will receive information about applicable refunds. No refund is guaranteed for participant no-shows, personal scheduling conflicts, transportation issues, or disqualification.

8. Photography and Video

RASCAL may be photographed or recorded for documentation, editorial coverage, promotion, and future event materials.

By participating, you understand that you may appear in event photography or video. A parent or legal guardian provides this permission for any participating minor in their care.

If you have a concern about being photographed, contact RASCAL before the event or speak with event staff. RASCAL will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.

9. SMS Terms

Participants may voluntarily opt in to receive text messages from RASCAL. SMS consent is optional and is not required to purchase a ticket or participate.

Messages may include registration confirmations, event reminders, location drops, clues, schedule changes, safety information, and other RASCAL updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. RASCAL will not sell or share SMS opt-in information or consent records with third parties for their marketing purposes.
